Schapelle Corby has emerged in Brisbane wearing a billowing pink maxi dress amid rumours she is pregnant with her first child.

The 42-year-old, who spent almost a decade behind bars in Indonesia for drug smuggling, was spotted strolling the streets of Queensland’s capital on Monday with her midsection hidden beneath the fabric of her dramatic frock.

Looking cheery and relaxed, the brunette was seen walking with case of Hahn Superdry beer in one hand and a Louis Vuitton-inspired handbag in the other.

Later, she was seen placing the beers in the boot of her parked car before jumping into the driver’s seat and whizzing away.

Earlier on Monday, New Idea magazine published paparazzi photos of Schapelle shopping for baby supplies at a Kmart store in Brisbane.

The pictures showed Schapelle carrying children’s clothes, a plastic bathtub and several blankets while browsing the shop’s baby section.

Tellingly, she also placed a protective hand over her stomach in the photos, but no ‘bump’ was visible due to the baggy top she was wearing.

Furthermore, Schapelle flashed a diamond ring on her wedding finger, sparking rumours she could possibly be engaged.

At the time, she claimed they were ‘hoping to become pregnant’ while on holiday in Thailand. This trip eventually took place in April.

The couple only spend ‘two precious weeks a year together’ because Ben is unable to enter Australia due to his criminal record.

Schapelle can return to Indonesia if she chooses, but does not feel ‘comfortable’ doing so yet.

Instead, she and Ben meet in countries where visas are not required for entry.

Previously, it was assumed she could not return to Indonesia because of her 2005 drug trafficking conviction in Denpasar, Bali.

Typically drug criminals are banned from re-entering Indonesia once they have completed their sentence. An example of this is Bali Nine member Renae Lawrence, who was released from prison last year and is prohibited from ever returning.

However, this does not appear to be the case for Schapelle.
